To find mean, 
first add all the numbers together:
10 + 12 + 29 + 2 + 19 + 42 + 23 + 23 = 160

Then divide the total by the amount of numbers there are:

In this case, there are 8 numbers.

160/8 = 20 

20 is your mean for this set of data
