Public opinion was important to the Nazis because it helped to cover up what was really happening. Hitler was a very charming man and knew how to speak to the people and appeal to their ideals and values, and because he knew how to go about public speaking, it wasn't long before he was an admired man. Spreading rumors and making propaganda, the Nazis further manipulated the public.
