When dividing fractions, use this rule I learned: Keep, Change, Flip!

1/4 ÷ 3/8

Keep the 1/4.
Change the ÷ sign to a × sign.
Flip the 3/8 ⇒ 8/3.

Now rewrite the problem.

1/4 × 8/3

Solve.

1/4 × 8/3 = 8/12

Simplify.

8/12 = 2/3

1/4 ÷ 3/8 = 2/3
