The perimeter of a rectangle is 44 cm. The length is two more than three times the width. What is the area?

consider width as x.
then the length is 3x+2
so perimeter of a rectangle is 2*(length+width)
=2*(x+3x+2)
=8x+4
8x+4 =44
solving x =5
so width=5 cm & length=17cm
