Hi there!

Research studies have found that a sense of humor and pet ownership are not linked with good health.

Most research done in this field is inconclusive. There is no evidence of a significant increase in good health from a sense of humor or pet ownership.

However, research points out the benefits on the psychological side. Stress can be reduced by humor and people feel more social support from their pets (this is called nonevaluative social support).

Have a good day!
