Is 5x-2x+18 and 3(x+6) equal?

They are equal

5x-2x+18=3(x+6) Distribute the right side

5x-2x+18=3x+18 Subtract 18 from both sides

5x-2x=3x Add 2x to both sides

5x=5x And you would find out that both sides are equal
