Which is the correct null hypothesis for testing if the independent variable is a significant predictor of the dependent variable (i.e. has a relationship) in simple linear regression model?
A person needs to run a test on the dependent variable to determine it's type. After they run their test they can determine that said independent variable and then choose the correct null hypothesis for the simple linear regression model.
