Why was slavery an effective way for Great Britain to support the economy of the British Colonies? Please I need answers ASAP

Back then slave owners could make good money, selling and auctioning off slaves. Sadly it was part of the economy.

Slavery was overall just awful. But for the British, slavery provided a means of labour, so that crops could be sowed, planted and tended. This way, the Europeans would not have to partake in any hard work and this was left all to slaves. The slaves were also not cheap, so they would make the seller even richer and the economy would be boosted
