Why is light not a reactant or a product in photosynthesis?

It’s because the light isn’t “used” in the reaction. It provides the energy needed , but it is not changed by the reaction.For instance , you CO2 going in and glucose coming out , but the light is simply absorbed.


It’s the same reason why heat isn’t listed as a reactant in other reactions.
