In the Bible, Genesis 4 it is said that Cain murders his brother, Abel, out of jealousy. The two were sons of Adam and Eve, with two different responsibilities Abel was tasked as "a keeper of sheep, and Cain a tiller of the ground."

However, Abel was a favorite of his father, Adam, and this led to Cain becoming very jealous of Abel
