According to Smith, the division of labor is the organizational innovation of the pin factory which he discussed in “The wealth of Nations”. He argued that the countries having division of labor are richer than the other countries. The division of labor occurs when every person is trying to do some specific small work and they are using their efficiencies and as a result, more people get access to the products which was not affordable before.
