There are many words that you can use to describe someone who does something without thinking about it. Here are some of them: instinctive, impulsive, subconscious, mechanic, spontaneous, automatic, involuntary, unconscious, etc. The point is that it's basically improvisation - you don't think too much about it, you just do it.
