I'm assuming you mean Raphael Sanzio, since he is the only painter I can think of who is known by his first name. He worked under Pietro Perugino, but some people believe he had some training from Timoteo Viti before his apprenticeship. But I think the best answer to your question would be Pietro Perugino.
