A hypothesis is useful  because you can grow from that pre-existing hypothesis and change it so your end results stay true to your hypothesis

hypothesis is important because it is the researcher best guess about the outcomes of an event, a happening, a research study, or an experiment. The researcher has done a great deal of searching for articles and studies about this particular problem so he/she is the best one to guess how the study or research is going to turn out.
