Co-dominance will make the pattern expected for the dominant allele to control the observed trait not to occur.

What is allele?

Genes occur in pairs. These pairs of genes determine which traits are expressed in an organism. The allele has a dominant gene and a recessive gene.

Sometimes, the pattern that is  expected in which the dominant gene is expressed is not observed due to codominance.
