so umm this is the answer

Perimeter = 2(length + width)

P = 2(L+w)

We are told the length is 3 times the width...

L = 3w

64 = 2(3w + w)

64 = 2(4w)

64 = 8w

8 = w

L = 3w = 3(8) = 24 cm

Length is 24 cm

width is 8 cm
