Given: If CD = 1/2x − 3 units and GH = 5 − 3x units, what is the value of x?

X=16/7
Assume CD = GH
1/2x - 3 = 5 - 3x
Add 3x to both sides
7/2x-3=5
Add 3 to both sides
7/2x=8
Divide 7/2 on both sides
X=16/7
