Answer:

2x+5y=26....equ 1

x-y=6.... equ 2

solution

from equation 2 we have,

x=6+y... equ 3

substituting x in equ 1 we have,

2x+5y=26

2(6+y)+5y=26

12+2y+5y=26

7y=14

y=2

substituting y in equ 3 we have,

x=6+y

x=6+2=8

Answer: y=2, x=8
