A mountainous environment will make it far harder and more complicated for something both living in farming in TEXAS!!! Because mountains are rocky and not much gardening space either.
They would make it hard to plant and have a farm they would also make it more difficult to get place to place, because you would have to go threw the valleys and would have to drive around and over the mountains
