explain how dividing a number by 2 and number by 1/2 are different

for example:
4 divide by  2 = 2
    4 divide by 1/2 
= 4 multiply  by 2
= 6
(if is dividing a fraction,you have to change to the opposite, then multiply. like 1/2 opposite is 2, then you multiply by 2)
