I think you meant: Which TWO NUMBERS are the sum of 17 and have a difference of 3?
Well, it's simple: Guess and check.
The two numbers must be bigger than 3 and smaller than 17. Hmm...
So, you can conclude 10 and 7, b/c 10+7 is 17 and 10-7 is 3.
