Why was the Boston massacre such an important event in triggering the revolutionary war in the United States

Answer:

Indeed it was very important. The Boston Massacre was used as propaganda by the Americans in order to boost the patriotism in the US. It was the event that really brought together the American people and led to their dissent of the British government, triggering the midnight ride and the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
