To answer the question above, substitute the values of the variables x, y and z given to the equation.  
                                         2x² - 2(z^4)y² - x²(z^4) 
                              
                               2(-4)² -2(2^2)(3²) - (-4)²(2^4) = -296

Thus, the numerical answer to the question above is -296.
