= ( 1/ cos x + sinx / cos x) * ( 1 - sin x )/ cos x)

=  (1 + sin x) / cos x) *  ( 1 - sin x ) / cos x

= (1 - sin^2 x) / cos^2 x

But 1 - sin^2 x = cos^2 x

so we have

cos^2 x / cos^2 x  which = 1.
