x = 6.33,   y =  3.67   to the nearest hundredth.

Step-by-step explanation:

 3x - 3y - 2 = 6

4x - 5y - 3 = 4​   Simplifying these 2 equations:

3x - 3y  = 8         (A)      Multiply by by 5        

4x - 5y  =  7         (B)      Multiply by by -3

15x - 15y = 40

-12x + 15y = -21   Adding:

3x    = 19

x =  19/3 = 6.33

so y =  (8 - 3 *6.33 ) / - 3  (from Equation B )

= 3.67.
