Mass of solute = ?

Mass of solution = 1500 g

5.0 % = 5.0 / 100 = 0.05

w  = mass of solute / mass of solution

0.05 = ? / 1500

w = 0.05 x 1500

w = 75 g of solute

hope this helps!
