15 + 6b - 6b = 4b -1 - 6b

15 = 4b -1 -6b

6b + 15 = 4b -1

2b + 15 = -1

2b + 16 = 0

2b = -16

b = -8

I think that -8 is the answer.

Answer:

b = -8

Explanation:

15 + 6b - 6b = 4b -1 -6b

lets start by combining the like terms on each side:

6b - 6b = 0

4b - 6b = -2b

15 = -1 - 2b

Add 1 to each side to get 2 by itself:

16 = -2b

now divide both sides by -2 to get the b value:

-8 = b

Hope this helped!
