the degree of the polynomial is 8

The degree of a polynomial is determined by the largest power of an individual term or the sum of the exponents if more than 1 variable

3x² → is degree 2

6xy → is degree 2 ( sum of 1 and 1 )

- 10[tex]x^{5}[/tex] → is degree 5

[tex]y^{6}[/tex] → is degree 6

- 10x³[tex]y^{5}[/tex] → is degree 8 ( sum of 3 and 5 )

the term with largest power is - 10x³[tex]y^{5}[/tex]
