I believe this is an example of direct inner awareness.
There are three concepts of consciousness: sensory awareness (being aware of the senses around you), direct inner awareness, and sense of self. Direct inner awareness in short means that we are aware of the things inside ourselves. These things might include daydreaming, memories from childhood, etc.
