  =   130

2: Evaluate 140=(x+9)+(x+4)2 when x=1

      140 = (1 + 9) + (1 + 4)2

      140 = 10 + 10  = 20            Not true.  There must be something incorrect with the question.

Is the (x+4)2 supposed to be (x+4)^2?
