I believe that Charles Darwin made the largest contribution the evolutionary theory because he wrote how many birds are similar except that there beaks are what made them different from most others . Which in all comes to show that the Theory was true that we were all evolved to survive in our own certain way and there is nothing we can ever do to become the perfect survivor. we are all meant to die and evolve at one point in time .  Hope this helps
